Dog rescue event to be held at Metea

CPR Fund K9 Rescue will be hosting a Dog Rescue Event at Metea Saturday, April 14 during the badminton tournament. There will be a few dogs at the event to meet and interact with. Although not all dogs will be there, there will be plenty of information about other dogs available for adoption or foster. You will not be able to take a dog home that day, however, you may fill out applications with the rescue.

CPR Fund K9 Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of adoptable pets. Our all-volunteer network of administrative personnel, transporters, event planners, grant writers and, last but certainly not least, foster families works tirelessly to decrease the euthanasia rate in northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area by saving dogs from kill shelters and placing them into foster homes until they are adopted.

If you’re not interested in adopting or fostering but still want to help out they will be accepting monetary donations mainly, but can also always benefit from supplies such as crates and dog food, along with blankets/dog beds (large), treats, and toys (indestructible type). There will also be a 50/50 raffle where 50% goes to the winner and 50% will go towards the rescue as a donation.

Whether interested in a dog or not, you can come give adoptable dogs some love and attention they always need.
