Noelle Pryor

Noelle Pryor, Photography Editor

Noelle is a senior and this is her second year on staff. This year, she is the photography Editor. She is a very stressed person, so you may see her eating or drawing to solve this. She still enjoys every type of media, whether it’s music, books, or movies. Feel free to give her suggestions if you have any, but due to her walnut-sized attention span, it may take her a while to get to it. She’s in multiple clubs including BSA and Book Club. When 2020 hits, she will refer to people as, “Old Sport.” Believe in the green light.

One of the performers opened up with an enriching dance giving a taste of what is going to be shown during the show. The audience was in awe and quickly began to cheer and shout with excitement. I like how they opened up with the proverbs and then she showed us a common dance in west Africa. I got really excited a senior Sydnee Graves said.

The lesson on the drums was very informative and inspirational. These drums come as a family. The father is called the Dunun and it is the largest drum with the most sound. Then there is the mother drum called the samba and she is the melody of the rhythm. Lastly, there is the child that adds a little flavor to the music or to the life of the household. I feel like the performance the descriptions, and the stories really encompass the true culture of African American history, a junior Brianna Allen said.
