Humans of Metea: Logan Merrihuw

Graphic+by+Ana+Bicolli.

Logan Merrihuw, a freshman, appeared in the first movie of the Divergent Series as an extra/stuntman in 2012 when he was just 11 years old.

How did you get the part in the movie?
I got the part as a stunt man by sending in a video of me saying my name, my age, my height, where I lived, and the color of my hair. My karate instructor knew the people in the industry so he sent it straight to one of the directors.

What was your part in the movie?
My part in the movie was me and one of my friends I auditioned with were up about 30ft high on a rocky surface spying on the main characters in the movie because we had snuck into a party that we were not supposed to be at.

What was it like to be on set?
On set it was super cool because they didn’t use a lot of green screens. It was almost all props that they had made themselves and it was also very quiet on set because they were filming almost the whole time I was there.

Did you get to meet any of the main actors?
As I was walking on set, we got to walk by all of the stars of the movie and they offered to give us autographs but we didn’t have enough time for that sadly.

Being a freshman, how do you like Metea so far?
Metea is great so far, and I’m having a fun time getting to meet a lot of new people!

How do you like being a freshman?
I like being a freshman much more than any years previously because you have a lot more freedom, and there are tons of new people to meet!
