Boys’ Basketball By Connor Smith
This past Friday, the varsity boys had a major victory, defeating Glenbard North 66-47 at home. Leading the way was senior Jeremy Hunter, who had a personal-best 33 points scored. Coach Matt Walpole was proud of the team’s performance and cohesion throughout the entire game. The boys will look to keep up the momentum with another home game against Neuqua Valley on Tuesday, followed by a trip to Naperville North to face the Huskies on Friday.

Girls’ Basketball By Kellie Foy
This past week, the sophomore basketball team won its game against Wheaton North 42-32. However, the varsity team fell short to Wheaton North on Saturday, losing 52-57. The varsity team also fell short to Naperville North last Tuesday, losing 45-49. The team lost to Naperville Central 43-62 last Thursday. This upcoming week, the teams play at Waubonsie on Thursday, and at home on Saturday against Lake Park.

Cheerleading had a competition this weekend at Amos Alonzo Stagg High School. Varsity Cheer placed 10th, while Junior Varsity placed 4th in their division.

Boys’ Swim and Dive By Zainie Qureshi
The boys had a meet against Naperville North this past week. JV won by three points, but unfortunately, Varsity lost by 11 points. Individually however, the meets proved good for nearly everyone. On Saturday, freshmen and sophomores went to the Dan O’Brien relay meet at Fenwick, and varsity went to Downer’s Grove.

Bowling By Maddie Crabtree
Last weekend, one of Metea’s boy Bowlers and junior Ian Ridgway attended sectionals. Although he did not make state, he was just 100 points short of the limit, with an impressive score of 251.
