Tami Gordan
Tami Gordan is an African American, bisexual sophomore who identifies as a female. She lives with her mom in Aurora and the rest of her family lives in New York. Unlike the other three candidates, she considers herself to be a member of the independent party with liberal views because she believes “the two-party system hasn’t been working out that well”. Tami believes she got her views from the people around her, which showcases a pattern of where we get our views from while also getting across a divide in our politics due to the parties we follow. Tami was “raised in a mainly liberal-progressive household, so a lot of my liberal standpoints come from that and a lot of my friends are on the liberal side.”
