The combination talk between Waubonsie and Metea Valley did not define their season. But, acknowledged the integrity as a team. The boys finished 8-10 in the season, and 1-5 in the DuPage Valley Conference. In the postseason, they finished off with their close win against South Elgin. Their six DuPage Valley Conference all-conference players included Nick Asuan, Ryan Benson, Austin Stensby, Carson Wilber, Zach Wentz, and Michael Giacalone.
The girls’ lacrosse team this year were 12-6 in the season and 4-2 in the DuPage Valley Conference. With six players leaving the lineup next year, the team they are preparing to carry the legacy. “A lot of our seniors paved the way for us and helped each of our players grow and learn a couple of things before they go,” sophomore Jenna Urbon said.
