Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012-2017)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is 3D computer animated series that aired on Nickelodeon for five years. It is not a continuation of the 2003 series, but the characters and backstory are relatively the same. The show follows the four Ninja Turtles, Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donetello, and Raphael as they fight alien-like creatures, known as Kraang, in the city of New York. Master Splinter, a mutant rat that raised the four turtles, trains and mentors the boys as they live a life shrouded in mystery in fear of humans finding them out. In the 2012 series, the turtles venture to the outside for the first time and meet April O’Neil, creating a new path of trials and tribulations for them to handle. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a series that starts out just as any other superhero story, but takes a twist in the later seasons. It is a wonderful rollercoaster ride of unexpected twists and turns and it leaves the viewers tightly locked into the coaster. It deals with values such as figuring out one’s purpose in fairly interesting ways and all through the eyes of mutant turtles who know karate.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had its last season in 2017 with a total of 127 episodes. One of the few CGI Animated cartoons of the decade, the show took the idea of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and turned into an engrossing piece of art.
