Gravity Falls (2012-2016)

Gravity Falls began as a silly cartoon with supernatural monsters and mystery. It portrayed Dipper and Mabel Pines investigating the weird occurrences and odd people living in the fictional town Gravity Falls. Yet the bizarre nature of this town was very discreet in the initial episodes of the show. With each episode, the show gave the viewer subtle clues to unlock the mystery of the town. The cleverness of Gravity Falls is that it lured the viewer with its humorous plots and characters. Yet as the show continued, the secrets of the town came to light, and it left viewers with anticipation as they waited for the next episode. Gravity Falls has a uniqueness that is next to impossible to recreate. The show has surprise twists in each episode thus making it impossible to predict its outcome. This is the reason people were making theory after theory to try to comprehend the clues presented in the show. The show revealed secrets when it felt the viewer was ready to learn these secrets, yet it kept the viewer questioning everything they saw.

Along with the cleverness of the show as a whole, Gravity Falls has a unique cast of characters who all contributed to its greatness. Each individual episode is entertaining as the characters have to deal with a new mystery. The characters add witty remarks and humor to an otherwise intricate and complex plot. Despite its great popularity, Gravity Falls ended after two seasons after a unique ending unlike most children’s shows. While it could of continued due to popularity, the ending answered all questions, and it did not give the show time to lose its one-of-a-kind nature.
