Protester holds up sign during the No Kings movement.
Thousands of people gathered in Downtown Naperville in support of the national No Kings protest on Saturday, Oct. 18.
This protest was a part of a bigger No Kings movement across the country, where, according to the American Civil Liberties Union, over seven million people came together across more than 2,700 protests to assert democracy.
This was the second of the No Kings protests, the first movement occurring in June. According to CNN, over five million people protested Trump on the same day as his military parade in Washington, D.C.

I wanted to go to the No Kings Day protest; however, I had a Model UN conference that day, and I couldn’t go with my family :(. The conference was fun, though!
