I believe that this is one of those songs that everyone can relate to in some way. Whether someone is struggling in school or not feeling good enough, this song feels like an old friend hugging you and telling you that they have been feeling the exact same way. The second verse and its use of metaphors makes the song feel magical. It makes the listener feel less alone, and when an artist can do that, it is a wonderful thing. It feels like Taylor Swift reached into the brains of people all over and wrote a song out of what she found. This song will be on winter playlists for many years to come.
