MV BPA attends Fall Leadership Conference
On Friday, Metea Business Professionals of America went to Oakbrook for the Fall Leadership Conference. There, schools sent in their top two candidates for election for a position on the state board. Members in attendance who were not candidates voted. Members also attended workshops to learn and develop their ideas.
Candidates for student board presented two-minute speeches, answered impromptu questions and had a meet and greet with non-candidate members. Two members of Metea BPA made the executive board; Ritvik Arora was elected Vice President and Ashwin Saxena was elected Secretary. The student board would decide on state affairs within the larger national BPA setting.
“There was also a game night that happened on Friday,” said junior Svanik Tandon. The Fall Leadership Conference sets up BPA members to compete in the State Leadership Conference in March.
