Weekly Sports Update 9/7-9/14
Boys Cross Country (Max Berglind)
The boys’ cross country team traveled to Waubonsie to face North and Waubonsie for their meet last Saturday. Senior Mamadu Diallo led the varsity runners with a time of 17:00.50. Their next meet takes place this Friday at Neuqua. They will face Naperville North and Neuqua.
Girls Cross Country (Tyler Perry)
The girls’ cross country team had one match last week. They traveled to Waubonsie and faced off against the Warriors and the Huskies. Their next meet will be this Saturday at Neuqua.
Girls Swim and Dive (Grace Davidson)
The girls’ swim and dive team dives into their season with their meet against Dekalb this past Wednesday. They crushed the competition winning 136-36. Their next meet will be against Waubonsie on Thursday this week.
Boys Golf (Max Berglind)
Boys’ golf had four matches last week. Their first was against Marmion where they finished their rain-shortened match in third place. The second match came out in a win for Metea as they beat Neuqua. In the Aurora City invite they came up just short and finished in second place. Yesterday the boys tied their school record and put up a 145 and got the win against Wheaton-Warrenville South. The Mustangs will play their next match today against North.
Girls Golf (Grace Davidson)
The girls’ varsity team dominated in their match against Central, turning out an impressive 180-203 victory on Thursday. They lost their match against Waubonsie yesterday. Their upcoming match is today.
Girls Tennis (Tyler Perry)
The girls’ tennis team had two matches last week. Their first match was at Wheaton North while their second match was at Lake Park. Their next match will be against St. Francis this Wednesday.
