The “Ride for Mike” event will take place on May 2 at MV to honor the life and legacy of former MV teacher Mike Wegrzyn. The purpose is to raise money for an educational fund for Mr. Wegrzyn’s twin daughters and for the Tribe Lacrosse he coached with players from Metea and Waubonsie. Registration will begin at 7:30 am and the ride will start 9am.  There will be an adult route (17 miles) and kid route (4 miles). The “Ride for Mike” combines Wegrzyn’s passions for environmentalism and bicycling.
