The Mustangs started out the season 1-2 losing its first regular game to Plainfield East, 44-54, and losing in tournament play to defending state champion Benet Academy, 65-21. On Saturday, the Mustangs quickly turn it around, defeating North Chicago, 48-34. “We brought a lot of energy to that game and we played hard which got us the win. Now, we just have to keep working hard in practice and prepare ourselves to face the other schools in the DVC, but our team has a lot of talent, and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season,” junior center Skye Lane said. This week the Mustangs will continue to compete in Naperville Central Tip-Off tournament, facing Rockford Auburn Tuesday night. The tournament continues to Friday and Saturday.
