Boys’ Basketball By Connor Smith
This past Tuesday, the varsity boys squeaked out a close win over Neuqua at home, winning 63-61. However, the team took a 43-64 loss to Naperville North on Friday, also in front of the home crowd. Despite the loss, the team still has time to rebound and prepare for an important week, with away games at Naperville Central on Tuesday and Wheaton North on Friday, before heading home to face Waubonsie on Feb. 7.
Girls’ Basketball By Kellie Foy
This past week in girls basketball, all four teams beat the Waubonsie Valley Warriors. During the JV game, sophomores Katie Gonzales and Hanna Nicolls helped the team come back from a 15 point deficit during the fourth quarter with extra rebounds and free throws. The final score was 36-32 for the JV Lady Mustangs. The varsity team won against the Warriors, with the final score being 52-25. This upcoming week, the basketball unit will be playing at Wheaton Warrenville South on Thursday, and at Glenbard North on Saturday.
Wrestling By Peter Hinds
The team attended a conference tournament at Lake Paul over the weekend. They had 2 first place finishers in Bobby Papiernik and Philip Sims, as well as six others place in the tournament.
Boys’ Swim and Dive By Zainie Qureshi
The team had a relatively quiet week. Varsity had an invite this past Saturday in which they took third place, following closely to Waubonsie Valley, who took second place, and Neuqua Valley, who took first.

Varsity had sectionals this week, but unfortunately did not qualify for state. The team aims to qualify next year.
