It has almost been a year since my first list of ways to spend Valentine’s Day was posted. Even though all that time has passed, it is clear that most gamers will need a distraction from the inevitable loneliness this season brings. With that comes another list containing more games to cater to more gamers. From those who really want to experience a date, to those who want to be alone, comes another way to spend Valentine’s Day, gamer’s style.

The Sims 4: The perfect game for living out any fantasy you desire with anyone you desire is The Sims 4. With one search in the community tab about any celebrity can be found. Also, the number of mods available can cater to about any type of person: human, furry, alive, you name it!

Undertale: Undertale is a glorified dating simulator that has enough suitors to fit the need of any gamer. Want to date Papyrus? Well, you can. Want to date his brother? No questions asked. This game is great to reference for a variety of dating outcomes. It can also help with rejection, as it will happen constantly.

Overwatch: The ever-growing roster of Overwatch allows for an everlasting ship war that anyone can get behind. Whether it is the famous ship of McCree and Hanzo or the mysterious one behind Mercy and Genji, it will be a fun way to spread love in a community. Besides, if you’re not personally into shipping others, there’s no denying the satisfying feeling of being surrounded by attractive heroes.

Surgeon Simulator: Surgeon Simulator is perfect for gamers who want to get up close and personal with someone this Valentine’s Day. You play as a trustful surgeon who works hard at keeping his patients alive. This game is perfect for those who see others for their beauty on the outside and in.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: If you’re the type of person who wants Valentine’s Day to pass by quickly, then waste your day with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It’s the perfect game for avoiding everything and everyone around you. Also, the combat will entertain more than one gamer at a time.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch: Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a game about a loving husband and father who uses his unique quirks to help save his family from troubles. This game is perfect to spend the holiday as its message of love and acceptance can warm the heart of anyone. Also, there’s an actual level that is a date, so perfect for anyone who wants to have their first!

Portal 2: As is tradition, for those who would rather feel isolated and alone, spare a smart mouth and a not so smart mouth, is Portal 2! Play within the large underground facility of Aperture Science and uncover both puzzles and the mystery of Cave Johnson. Don’t forget though, the cake is a lie!

Snake: For those gamers who won’t be getting a box of chocolate this Valentine’s Day, but still want to eat their feelings, play Snake. This game is addictive and fulfills any desire a tasty treat could subject upon a being.

Nintendogs and Cats: Not everyone needs another human being to interact with to gain happiness. A singular Nintendog or cat can bring hours upon hours of mind-numbing happiness. Train yourself to become the crazy cat lady you have always dreamed of!
