Boys Baseball (Nate Burleyson)
Last week the varsity team beat Naperville Central 4-2 and Waubonsie 2-0. They lost to Naperville North 9-6, beat North 5-3, and then lost 2-0.
Girls Softball (Nate Burleyson)
Last week the girls beat Waubonsie 4-1 and lost to Neuqua 14-4 and Elk Grove 12-0.
Boys Lacrosse (Nate Burleyson)
The Mustangs played against Geneva on Monday and Neuqua Valley on Wednesday. Their next game will be today against St. Charles North.
Boys Track and Field (Madison McCalley)
This past Friday, the Mustangs competed at DVC. Senior Temi Osobamiro placed second in the 100-meter dash and junior Virgirl Steward placed 3rd. Steward placed second in the 200-meter dash. Senior Justin Fichte placed 3rd in the 300 meters. Senior Michael Varzino placed 4th in the 800-meter run and Fichte placed 5th. 4×200 relay placed 3rd. 4×400 relay placed 4th. 4×800 relay placed 3rd. Senior Pryce Giwa-Osagie placed first in the high jump. Senior Temi Osobamiro placed first in the long jump and first in the triple jump.
Girls Track and Field (Madison McCalley)
Last week, the Mustangs had their sectionals meet. Junior Sophia Sandy placed 8th in the 800-meter run. Junior Emily Kohlberg placed 7th in the 3200-meter run. Senior Emaline Kerwin placed 6th in the 100-meter hurdles.
Boys Water Polo (Nate Burleyson)
Last week the varsity team played in the IHSA Sectional tournament. They beat Saint Charles North 10-6 before falling to Naperville Central 12-3, concluding their season.
Girls Water Polo (Madison McCalley)
The girls had their Mustang Varsity Co-Ed tournament, finishing 2-1. On Wednesday, the girls played STCE and won 6-0. They moved on to semi-finals on Friday but came up short to Naperville North 1-16. The girls wrapped up their run in sectionals and season.
Girls Badminton (Leland Pan)
The Mustangs headed to IHSA State on Friday and Saturday. The tournament was held at Eastern Illinois University, and the girls took home sixth place. Both of the doubles from IHSA Sectionals moved into quarterfinals and top finishers for Metea were senior, Nitya Nagarajan and freshman, Sophia Wang.
Girls Lacrosse (Leland Pan)
The girls played Neuqua last Wednesday and lost 5-13. They turned things around on Friday and won against Lake Zurich 12-14. The Mustangs host their next game against Naperville Central tomorrow at 5 pm.
Girls Soccer (Leland Pan)
The Mustangs lost in the PepsiCo tournament 2-1 against Wheaton Warrenville South last Sunday. Last Tuesday they beat Naperville North 1-0 and on Thursday against St. Francis 1-0. Their next game will be the IHSA Regionals against Oswego East on Wednesday at 5 pm.
Boys Tennis (Leland Pan)
The boys played against Naperville Central last Monday, and Waubonsie Valley on Tuesday. The Dupage Valley Conference was held on Friday and Saturday. They head to IHSA Sectionals on Friday at St. Charles North.
Boys Volleyball (Leland Pan)
Last week the boys met Naperville North for a second time and had a two-set loss. They host Senior Night on Tuesday against Neuqua Valley at 6 pm.
Ultimate Frisbee (Leland Pan)
The boys played against Matavia and won. They played against Wheaton Warrenville South but came up short by one point. Their next game will be against Saint Charles North and Neuqua’s B team.
