As we begin the new school year, we hope you are finding more time to connect with teachers and peace with a blocked schedule. Collectively, we cannot imagine how our lives changed in the span of eight months. Personally, we would never think that hand sanitizers would be at the top of our wishlists this year.

This year is far from normal. We cannot prepare ourselves for what may come next in our world. We are experiencing more heartbreak, anxiety, anger, and wishful thinking. But, the best way to weather out this storm is with those whom we love and support.

As for the future of the publication, The Stampede and Metea Media will persist to serve you as readers. Our mission is to educate, inform, and highlight the stories that walk Metea Valley’s halls.

Since we are not able to be at school in person, we will suspend print productions. Yet, we will continue to publish daily content on our website, online magazine, and social media platforms effective as of today.

The outlook of our world may look different in a month. Knowing this, uneasiness is prevalent our quality of life and the perception of humanity. Everything from coursework to financial burden, humanitarian crises to social unrest continues to magnify in time.

As we dive into an unprecedented school year, our work as journalists is now more vital than ever, and we continually seek stories that are relatable, timely, and above all, truthful.

Our staff recognizes that no matter who you are, and no matter where you are, you have a story and a voice, whether it is a recent epiphany or creating an online initiative, we want to hear from you. Please feel free to send us submissions, story ideas, or questions you may have for us through our tipline anytime throughout the school year.

Thank you for being an essential part of our publication. This is your world and your stories.

See you soon,

The Stampede and Metea Media Editorial Staff
