Weekly Sports Update 4/6-4/12

Boys Football (Max Berglind)
The Mustangs lost to Naperville North 48-20 on Saturday. Junior Logan Frederick found fellow junior John Flynn in the endzone twice in the loss. The Mustangs are back at it again Friday at 7 p.m. against Central at home.
Boys Soccer (Tyler Perry)
Boys’ soccer found success last week as the Mustangs picked up two wins with only one loss. Their first match was against North where they lost a close 2-1 battle. The next day, Metea faced off against Kaneland where they got their first win of the month. The black and gold finished off the week with another win as they shutout Bartlett 1-0. The Mustangs will get back to action tomorrow for their final game of the season against Central.
Girls Volleyball (Grace Davidson)
The girls scored a two-set win against South Elgin this past week. The set scores were 25-13 and 25-20. However, they lost their match against Central with a two-set loss of 25-14 and 25-6. The girls have a busy schedule this week starting out Monday with a home game against Wheaton Warrenville South, followed by games against Waubonsie, Oswego East, and Neuqua.
Boys Water Polo (Tyler Perry)
The boys’ water polo team had two matches last week. The Mustangs first set of action was a home game against Waubonsie. Metea was having a solid outing, but a few errors cost them the game, which set them up for a 13-12 loss. The next game was not any better as the Mustangs took a hard loss 10-2. The black and gold have a chance to redeem themselves tomorrow against Neuqua.
