Weekly Sports Update 8/16-8/23

Boys’ Cross Country (Grace Davidson)

The boys’ cross country team will have their first meet at Waubonsie Valley in the Aurora City Meet this Saturday. 

Girls’ Cross Country (Grace Davidson)

The girls’ cross country team will be attending their first meet at Waubonsie, along with the boys, in the Aurora City Meet.

Boys’ Football (Grace Davidson)

The Mustangs will have their first home game of the season against Geneva this Friday

Boys’ Golf (Grace Davidson)

The boys traveled to the Plainfield North Invite and placed third with a final score of 300 last Monday. The next day, the team attended the McGongale Naperville City Coed Invite and for the first time in Mustang history placed first with a final score of 360. Then, the Mustangs faced Bowes Creek on Wednesday. The team set a team score record with a stroke of 140. Their upcoming games are this Tuesday at the Panther Scramble and Wednesday against Waubonsie Valley.

Girls’ Golf (Grace Davidson)

The girls started out their season with a fantastic win against Wheaton North last Monday, beating the Falcons 168-183. The following day the team played in the McGongale Naperville City Coed Invite. Meadow Rolence, Pranvi Kakkar, Macey Martin, and Abby Terada led the Mustangs. Their next match-up will be against Plainfield North today.

Girls’ Swim and Dive (Grace Davdson)

The girls’ swim and dive team will start their season with a meet at the Neuqua Invite on Friday and Saturday. 

Boys’ Soccer (Grace Davidson)

The boys will start their year with an away game against East Aurora on Wednesday.  

Girls’ Tennis (Grace Cronin)

The girls’ tennis team will start their season with an away game against Wheaton Warrenville South on Tuesday. 

Girls’ Volleyball (Grace Cronin)

The girls’ volleyball team will have their first game against Glenbard East this Wednesday.
