Boys’ Cross Country (Max Berglind)
The Mustangs ran in the St. Charles North Invitational at Leroy Oakes Forest Preserve this past Saturday. The team was led by senior Ben Lamsma (16:41) and sophomore Nathan Behr (17:06). They travel to Naperville North to compete in the annual Twilight Invitational next Wednesday.
Girls’ Cross Country (Nick Vallejo)
The girls played at the St. Charles North Invitational at Leroy Oakes on Saturday. Metea placed fourth with senior Sarah Maggio (18:00) and seventh with senior Keleey Behr (18:28).
Boys’ Football (Nick Vallejo)
The team played on friday against Neuqua at home. The game started slow but the Wildcats in the second quarter started scoring and did not stop. Metea could not get a touchdown and Neqeua got a comfortable 31-0 win. Their next game is against Naperville North on Friday.
Boys’ Golf (Max Berglind)
As a team, the Mustangs placed fourth overall at their regional tournament. The team will be sending five players to compete individually at sectionals on Monday. The five players include seniors Aman Shah, Arjun Vyas, Johnny Kerns, and Eli Oakes, along with sophomore Kyle Bucher.
Girls’ Golf (Grace Davidson)
The Mustangs attended regionals and placed second. The team was led by junior Abby Terada who placed third (81) and sophomore Pranvi Kakkar who placed eighth (85). The girls headed to sectionals yesterday. State will take place on Friday and Saturday this upcoming week.
Boys’ Soccer (Grace Davidson)
The boys’ lost to Naperville North 4-2 in DVC play last Tuesday. This takes their DVC record to 2-2. The Mustangs face defeat once more against Oswego East 3-1 on Saturday. They play at the WarStang Invite today and against Maine South Wednesday. They will attend the IHSA regional quarterfinals on Friday and Saturday. The team will go against Lemont in the WarStang Invite on Saturday.
Girls’ Swim and Dive (Grace Davidson)
The team hosted senior night at a meet against Lake Park last Wednesday. Senior diver Callie Karsten scored her highest score for a six dive meet with 170.85 points, and senior Jess Vogt swam her fastest 100-yard freestyle. The girls’ also had a meet against Naperville North on Thursday. This week they have a meet with Naperville Central on Tuesday, and the Titan Relays on Saturday.
Girls’ Tennis (Grace Cronin)
The Mustangs faced Naperville Central with a tight match winning 4-3 last Thursday. The girls later attended the Naperville North invitational losing 7-0 on saturday. Their next game is against Wheaton Warrenville this Wednesday.
Girls’ Volleyball (Grace Cronin)
The girls’ went up against Neuqua in a tough three set game winning the last two sets 25-22 and 25-11 last Tuesday. They continued their winning streak against Naperville North in two sets 25-23 and 25-22 on Thursday. The girls’ next game is up against Naperville Central this Tuesday.
