Girls’ Basketball (Grace Davidson)
The girls’ started off break with a loss of 63-54 in the Holiday Classic against Sycamore on Dec. 27. They played two games against Oswego East and Kaneland in the Holiday Classic on Dec. 28 and 30. The Mustangs lost both matches, losing 59-24 and 50-42. The team went on to compete against Naperville North 63-14 last Thursday. Their upcoming matches are against St. Charles this Tuesday and Naperville Central on Friday.
Girls’ Bowling (Grace Cronin)
The team began winter break with the Reavis Invitational, where seniors Sydney Lewis, Jasmine Allen, and Elizabeth Mansmith all placed in the top seven individually on Dec. 30. They continued the break with a win against Naperville North 2885-1857 from the help of Lewis bowling a 712 series last Thursday. The girls’ finished off with the Plainfield South Invite, where Lewis and Allen placed No. 8 and No. 19 on Saturday. Their next match is against Romeoville today.
Coed Competitive Cheer (Grace Cronin)
The team competed at the Buffalo Grove Bison Invite yesterday. Their next competition is the Oak Forest invite this Sunday.
Boys’ Swim and Dive (Grace Davidson)
The Mustangs had a meet against Lake Park on Dec. 29. The boys’ then had a meet against Neuqua last Thursday. Junior Jaeddan Gamilla pulled the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke. Senior George Wang placed first in the 100-yard freestyle. Overall, it would be the Wildcats that would secure a win, starting their new year with a 3-0 DVC record. This week the boys’ have a meet against Naperville North on Thursday and have the Titan Relays on Saturday.
Boys’ Basketball (Max Berglind)
The Mustangs went 3-3 over the break, with wins coming against Vernon Hills, Antioch, and Conant. They play Oswego at home on Wednesday. They have two tournament games against St. Francis and Huntley on Saturday.
Dance (Grace Cronin)
The girls’ competed at the IDTA Invite last Saturday. Their next competition is the DVC Conference on Thursday.
