Girls’ Basketball (Grace Davidson)
The Mustangs valiantly faced the Neuqua Valley Wildcats with a tough loss of 43-28 last Tuesday. The girls’ were also defeated by Waubonsie Valley 64-53 last Thursday. However, in an extremely exciting turn of events the team was able to finally secure a dominating win over Streamwood 69-34 this past Saturday. During the game against Streamwood, junior Khaliah Reid broke the most steals in a single game. The new record Reid set was nine steals. With a fresh win under their belt the Mustangs will face Neuqua once again this week on Tuesday. They also will play Naperville North on Thursday. The girls’ play Hinsdale Central which will also be the team’s senior night.
Girls’ Bowling (Grace Cronin)
The girls’ started the week with senior night against Glenbard East, winning 2773-2324 last Wednesday. The team then competed at the DVC Conference, where they became conference champions for the fourth year in a row on Thursday. They finished the week with the Leyden Invite where the team placed fourth overall, and seniors Sydney Lewis and Elizabeth Mansmith placed third and 13 individually on Saturday. Their next match is against Plainfield Central today.
Coed Competitive Cheer (Grace Cronin)
The team competed at sectionals this Saturday where they qualified for state. Their next competition is state this Friday.
Boys’ Swim and Dive (Grace Davidson)
The Mustangs placed fifth in their meet with a total score of 290 last Saturday. They face Naperville Central on Friday and have the DVC Tournament on Saturday at Naperville North along with the IHSA Sectional.
Boys’ Basketball (Max Berglind)
The Mustangs locked horns with their Eola Road rivals, losing a narrow one to Waubonsie, 68-64 on Friday. They will square off against Nazareth Academy on Tuesday, and Hoffman Estates on Saturday.
