Girls’ Basketball (Grace Davidson)
The Mustangs rematched Neuqua Valley ending in another tough loss of 43-35 last Tuesday. The girls’ faced yet another hard loss of 70-31 to Naperville North on Thursday. Their last game of the week was on Saturday against Hinsdale Central which was also the girls’ senior night. The Mustangs lost this non-conference game 67-29. The team has one last upcoming game against Naperville Central this Tuesday.
Girls’ Bowling (Grace Cronin)
The girls’ won against Plainfield Central during their last match of the season last Monday. The team competed next at regionals, where they placed second overall on Saturday. Their next game in sectionals this Saturday.
Coed Competitive Cheer (Grace Cronin)
The team finished their season competing at state, where they placed No. 15 in the coed team preliminary round with a score of 86.73 on Friday.
Boys’ Swim and Dive (Nick Vallejo)
The boys’ had their meet at Neuqua Valley along with Naperville Central, Waubonsie Valley, DeKalb, and Naperville North this past Saturday. It was a difficult night for Metea as Neuqua won the DVC title but the Mustangs finished off the season with a win in the 400 freestyle relay.
Boys’ Basketball (Max Berglind)
After losing narrowly to St. Francis 80-67, last Tuesday, the Mustangs won a massive conference matchup against Neuqua Valley, 60-59, on Friday. The Mustangs lost a valiantly fought matchup to Hoffman Estates, 71-62, on Saturday to cap off the week.
Dance (Grace Cronin)
The girls’ competed at Hononegah IDTA, where they qualified for state in hip hop and jazz on Saturday. Their next competition is the IDTA state competition this Friday and Saturday.
