Support your fellow Mustangs by hitting the road with the Metea Valley Fan Bus! As a simpler way for students to access away games, the Fan Bus will be a dedicated ride to cheer on our football team when they travel to rival turf. Whether you are a die-hard fan or looking for a fun way to spend your Friday nights, be a part of the action!
“[The Fan Bus] is a simple option for those who don’t have a ride and/or want to attend due to the distance,” Athletic director Matthew Fehrmann said.
Only a minimum of 20 students need to be signed up and present for the bus to leave. The students will need to sign up on Friday the day before this week’s football game.
To sign up, students will need to visit the Athletics Office, located in the commons near the Health classrooms. There is a $5 fee that will assist in offsetting the cost.
“A couple of students reached out and inquired as they were concerned about the distance to a few schools on the schedule,” Fehrmann said.
The Fan Bus will go to away games that are located far from Metea. Any games close by or in Naperville will not require the use of the Fan Bus.
“We appreciate our student body and the support they provide to their peers in our athletic contests, activities/art events, and everything else,” Fehrmann said. “That truly makes Metea Valley a special place.”
