This weekend, Metea students put on “Puffs”, a play inspired by the Hufflepuff House from Harry Potter. The cast and the tech crew worked hard to prepare and put everything they had into making this weekend’s shows exciting for the audience.
“The blending between actors and tech went really well because everybody was […] patient with combining everything and learning how to do things,” stage manager and junior Aayla Edwards said.
There were four shows this weekend. Every part of Puffs contributed to fun memories for not the audience, and the students who made the show happen.
“[Tech week] was super fun,” Edwards said. “Everybody was laughing.”
According to Edwards, the cast had super high energy levels all weekend and in the days leading up to the audience shows.
To prepare for the play, actors worked to perfect their characters and give them an honest portrayal from the script to the stage. This requires weeks of preparation, and extensive practice.
As the play closed its curtains over the weekend, the students were able to reflect on all of the work that they put into the production.
“Puffs was a really, really awesome show,” stage manager Aayla Edwards said.
