Arnesh is a junior who is involved in many activities both inside and outside of Metea. Keep reading to learn more about his experience at Metea!
What are you involved in at Metea?
I’m involved in orchestra, the musical (which I hope to do again next year), Metea Valley Symphony Orchestra (MVSO), Aspiring Health Professionals, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and Key Club. I also run a music-based nonprofit called Melodies That Matter, which performs at retirement homes, hospitals, and other community events. I take private violin lessons to continue developing my skills, and earlier in high school, I was part of the tennis team.
What are your plans for after high school?
After high school, I plan to attend a university that aligns with my goals, most likely majoring in neuroscience or another health science-related field. I also want to continue growing my nonprofit and use music to positively impact more communities.
What is your favorite Metea memory?
Some of my favorite memories are from our orchestra trips, especially performing at Disney World and visiting Universal Studios. The experience was amazing. I had a great time at workshops and performing in front of a large audience as an orchestra.
If you could go back to the start of high school, what would you tell yourself?
If I could go back to the start of high school, I’d tell myself not to be afraid to try new things. Take every opportunity that interests you, even if it feels unfamiliar or outside your comfort zone. You never know where it might lead.
What do you do to balance your life outside of Metea?
I keep a routine that includes violin lessons, spending time with friends and family, and taking breaks when recharging. Staying organized and prioritizing matters most to help me manage everything effectively.
Is there anyone you would like to shout out?
I’d love to shout out Mrs. Fatta, my orchestra teacher. She’s been incredibly supportive throughout my time at Metea and has played a huge role in my growth as both a musician and a person.
What are you looking forward to in your remaining time at Metea?
I’m looking forward to my final year, especially senior events, college applications and senior year collage. I am excited to live every moment of my last year at high school
How would you describe your time at Metea?
My time at Metea has been full of growth and meaningful experiences. I’ve discovered my new passions and taken on challenges that may help me in the long run. It’s been a place where I’ve grown not just as a student, but as a person.
