Boys’ Basketball By Connor Smith
This past weekend, the varsity boys participated in the annual M.L.K. tournament at Wheaton-Warrenville South. Despite a 48-73 loss to Oak Park River Forest on Saturday, the boys played well on Monday, and earned a close four point victory over Plainfield South. This week, the boys have their first home game in over four weeks when they host Glenbard North on Friday.
Girls’ Basketball By Kellie Foy
This past week, the girls sophomore basketball team lost, but fought hard against Neuqua Valley, losing 31-34. The varsity team beat Neuqua, 77-57, for the first time in school history. This week, the team is at home on Tuesday against Naperville North, away at Naperville Central on Thursday, and at home on Saturday against Wheaton North. For Martin Luther King Day, the girls basketball unit travelled to the Northern Illinois Food Bank to do service work for the community.
Boys’ Swim and Dive By Zainie Qureshi
The boys had a bit of a rough time this past week. Varsity lost by nearly 60 points to Neuqua, although JV had a better run, only losing by 11 points. This past Saturday, JV went to a St. Charles North invite, but unfortunately lost to all the north suburb teams. Not all is bad news, with Varsity shattering the record in the 200 Backstroke relay at the Titans meet.
Wrestling By Peter Hinds
The wrestling team had 5 matches last week. They went 3-2, including a narrow loss to Wheaton Warrenville South. The three teams the boys beat include Lake Park, Bolingbrook, and Bradley Bourbonnais.
Special Olympics By Prashant Shankar
Special Olympics had a major week, as the basketball team won District Division IV and is headed to the State Playoffs. The Special Olympics play at the Pack the Stands basketball game against teachers on Jan. 18 at 6 P.M. in the main gymnasium.
