I am also on the spectrum. What I like to do during these assemblies is stand/kneel/etc near the doorway, near the teachers. There, I can leave on a whim while still being in the supervising area of the teachers. Seek me out before the next assembly and I’ll show you what I mean
I personally wish they made assemblies optional. For me, loud crowds are overstimulating and stressful (mainly because I am on the autism spectrum), so I would really benefit if I at the least could duck in and out of assemblies so I don’t get too stressed by them.
This was really good and touching! Bless all the soldiers of this nation for serving our country and fighting for our right to keep our country and our land free!
