This year, College Board’s chosen SAT date is April 10, 2024. This day also happens to be Eid al-Fitr, which is a Muslim celebration marking the end of Ramadan.
As a festival and holiday, Muslim families will be hosting parties and celebrating their religion during this day, which is not possible for students when they have to worry about taking the SAT.
The Muslim Student Association and Metea Valley’s administrators have come up with a solution for this. Muslim students celebrating Eid could sign up for a make up SAT date, which will be on April 17, 2024.
This allows students to celebrate their holiday and religion while still being able to study and focus for the SAT, which is a graduation requirement.
