The Junior and Senior Assembly showcased many talents while recognizing accomplishments

Ell Macias, Luisa Bernardino, Ritika Khurana, Ryder Preston Brown, and Azaa Battsogt

The Junior and Senior Assembly on Friday, May 17, included a large number of performances, including a song by Muses and Apollo, a tumbling performance from the Jesse White Tumblers, dances by the Advanced Dance class as well as Metea Dhamaka, and more.

Ell Macias

This is Ell’s first year of being a part of the Visuals team on the Newspaper staff. They have a passion for capturing candid moments in photography, which is what motivated them to work in their section. Typically, they are painting, sketching, or working on dioramas during their downtime and will never beat the artist stereotype of carrying a sketchbook everywhere they go. Furthermore, they will never turn down the opportunity to talk about goth bands.

Luisa Bernardino

Luisa is a senior in her third year in the Journalism Staff. Now as the Editor-in-Chief of the Magazine, meaning that she is thinking about design layouts eight times out of 10. When she isn’t drawing, she is probably reading about Greek mythology, studying, or listening to music.

Ritika Khurana

Ritika Khurana is a sophomore and this is her first year on staff. She loves talking about her dogs and burying her nose into a book. When she’s not reading, you can find her listening to music while making a snack or simply watching TV.

Ryder Preston Brown

Ryder is a senior, and this is his third year on staff as Website Editor-in-Chief, podcaster, and videographer. He enjoys building upon what he has started, listening to music until he becomes one with the frequency, and writing like a philosopher from 320 BCE. If you can’t find him walking (or usually running) around, he’s most likely already planning for the next big thing, or for the future in general. (Don’t be afraid to harass him about music by the way).

Azaa Battsogt

Azaa is the goat. This is her third year on staff for Newspaper Journalism. And get this, she’s SO cool that she’s the visuals editor. NOTHING gets past her. When she’s not taking photos or making graphics, she is most likely at the mall shopping for new clothes with money she doesn’t have because she’s just so cool. But you don’t have to tell her she’s cool because she already knows. The only con Azaa has is that she’s lowkey unc. #classof2026
