Weekly Sports Update 10/5-10/13

Keeley Behr and Sarah Maggio help finish off the fall sports season with impressive performances.

Boys’ Cross Country (Max Berglind)
At their annual twilight meet, varsity runner Mamadu Diallo ran a time of 16:21.5 and won the varsity white race. The boys’ team will wrap up their season for their conference meet at Waubonsie this Saturday.
Girls’ Cross Country (Tyler Perry)
As the season is coming to a close, the girls’ cross country team raced in the annual Twilight Cross Country Race. The Mustangs came in ninth place as Keeley Behr led Metea with a time of 18:59.7. The girls will finish up their season next week at Waubonsie on Friday.
Boys’ Golf (Max Berglind)
The boys’ golf team had their regionals last week and shot a 311 to finish third. Aman Shah finished third in a very tough sectional, wrapping up their season yesterday.
Girls’ Golf (Grace Davidson)
Last week the girls’ golf team had Regionals and finished third, just missing the IHSA state series advancement requirements by three strokes. Abby Terada was the only girl that individually qualified for sectionals and will be representing Metea.
Girls’ Swim and Dive (Grace Davidson)
This week the girls are going up against Benet Academy on Thursday. They will finish the week battling in the DuPage Valley Conference meet on Friday and Saturday.
