Weekly Sports Beats 1/19-1/23

Girls’ Basketball (Grace Davidson)

The Mustangs lost against DeKalb 65-51 last Thursday. Next, the girls faced Joliet West with a tough loss of 56-36 on Saturday. Their next games are Tuesday against Neuqua Valley, Thursday against Waubonsie Valley, and Saturday against Streamwood High School. 

Girls’ Bowling (Grace Cronin)

The girls’ stayed undefeated in the conference last week after winning their last conference match against Glenbard East 2773-2324 last Wednesday. The Mustangs would then go to compete at the DVC conference where the girls were named conference champs for the fourth time in a row on Thursday. Their next match is against Plainfield North on Wednesday.

Coed Competitive Cheer (Grace Cronin)

The team competed at Fremd SNOWdown on Saturday. Their next competition is sectionals this Saturday.

Boys’ Swim and Dive (Nick Vallejo)

The boys’ went to Naperville Central last Thursday. Central started   off well by winning the 200 Yard Medley Relay and Freestyle. The Mustangs tried their best but Central ended up getting the win with a score of 113-63.

Boys’ Basketball (Max Berglind)

The Mustangs played a game against East Aurora on Saturday. They will play a road game this week, locking horns with Elk Grove on Tuesday. The Mustangs will go on a break until they play Hoffman Estates on Feb. 5.

Dance (Grace Cronin)

The girls’ competed at IHSA sectionals on Saturday.
