Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education Dr. Nicole Howard sent out an email to the Metea Valley community Friday afternoon, announcing the recommendation of Daniel DeBrucker to become Metea Valley’s next principal. Pending board approval on Dec. 19, DeBruckyer will begin his tenure on July 1.

DeBruckyer is one of three current assistant principals. He will be working closely with Dr. Darrell Echols for the next six months to ensure a smooth transition for students, staff, and the community.

After several rounds of interviews, DeBruker was selected as the top candidate and will be recommended to the Board of Education for approval on Monday.

“You are getting a great new leader (pending board approval) who understands the school and will build upon your current successes and strengths,” Dr. Howard said.
