Boys’ Basketball By Connor Smith
Although the varsity boys took a 61-79 loss at Naperville North on Wednesday, they stormed back on Friday to earn a 67-57 win in their home opener against Naperville Central. Jumping to an early 22-5 lead after the first quarter, they never looked back, as senior Jeremy Hunter led the way with 21 points in the game. Multiple baskets were also scored by junior Jayden Reed, sophomore Manny Hess, and sophomore Payton Thorne, as great leadership and teamwork helped the Mustangs improve to a 2-1 conference record and a 3-3 overall record.

Girls’ Basketball By Kellie Foy
This past week, the sophomore girls basketball team won against rival Waubonsie Valley High School. The varsity team also beat Waubonsie on Saturday. However, they fell short to Wheaton North on Thursday, losing 53-67. On Tuesday, the varsity team will play at home against Naperville Central High School once again.

Boys’ Hockey By Brittany Coates
The hockey team played 2 games this week, and won both against Plainfield (8-0) and Neuqua Valley (5-1), handing Neuqua their first loss of the season. The team faces Glenbard next week.

Girls’ Bowling By Maddie Crabtree
On Saturday, the girls attended Plainfield North’s Strikefest Invite, and ended up placing 12th in the Bronze division, with a total score of 2105. Izabelle Neuenkirchen bowled a season-high game of 252, while Gianna Mickolalyck bowled a season-high game of 246. Both girls led the team with a 600+ series.
