When and why did you start playing hockey?

I started playing hockey when I was six years old and I started playing because my older brother introduced me to the sport when I was five. I haven’t stopped playing since.

What do you like about playing hockey?

I love playing the sport and being out on the ice. The ice is a safe haven.

When did you start playing for Warriors and what is your favorite thing about high school hockey?

I first played for the Warriors my sophomore year for the varsity team. I love the fans and the recognition.

Why did you choose to do HS over a club team?

I chose high school over club because in high school playing in front of your friends and a large crowd is something you don’t experience in club. The recognition is what I wanted, and that’s what I got. I’m satisfied with the decision I made and I wouldn’t change it.

Is high school different than club? How?

Yes, it’s different due to the amount of skill. There are high school teams, including us, who could compete with travel teams, but if your talking about the amount of overall talent between all the high school teams and all the club teams, club wins.

What do you think about your team being co-op with other schools, rather than individual teams from only your school?

I don’t mind it, it helps us find more talent that makes the team better.

Warriors have been on a winning streak and only lost one game this season, what is it like being on a streak like that?

I really don’t think about the streak in all honesty. We know we’re the best, we know what we can accomplish, it’s just the matter of going out there and doing it.

What is your goal for the rest of the season?

Win the conference championship and win the state championship.
