Badminton (Leland Pan) 

The Mustangs kicked off their season at FRMD on Sunday. Their next match will be in March.

Girls’ Basketball (Jose Collado)

The Mustangs took the win against Neuqua Valley by a score of 56-51 on Tuesday night. They also played the Waubonsie Warriors to cap off their regular season. The girls will compete in IHSA Sectionals on Thursday. 

Boys’ Basketball (Tyler Perry)

The team played two games last week. Their first game was against Elk Grove. It was close throughout the whole game but the Mustangs just barely lost to the Grenadiers 47-49. Their next game was a home game against North. They kept it close and prevailed to a score of 61-59. They will play against Neuqua on Friday at 7 p.m.

Bowling (Tyler Perry)

The bowling team took part in Sectionals on Saturday where they came out of the matches with a spot in State. This is their first time competing at IHSA State since 2014. They will head to IHSA State on Friday and Saturday.

Girls’ Gymnastics (Leland Pan)

The team headed to IHSA Sectionals last Monday at Hinsdale Central. The girls wrapped up their season and look to continue training for next season.

Boys’ Hockey (Elena Buscher)

The Warriors competed against Glenbard on Friday and Saturday in a three-game series. On Friday, they took a one-game lead going 5-0. On Saturday, the team won the second game 7-4, taking the overall win against Glenbard. Their next game is Friday at 8:50 p.m. against Maine at All Season ice rink. 

Special Olympics Basketball (Leland Pan)

The Unified team wrapped up their season on Sunday at home. Special Olympics will transition to swim in the coming weeks.

Mens’ Track and Field (Tyler Perry)

The squad had their first two matches of the season. In the Jerry Lowe invite, they scored in 12 out of their 15 events. The Mustangs traveled to Hillside and had their relays on Friday. On the 4×200 relay, they finished in eighth place. They did better and captured fourth place on the 4×400 relay. On their longest relay, the 4×800, they finished in 16th place. The Mustangs will compete in the Greg Foster Invitational on Saturday.

Girls’ Track and Field (Jose Collado)

The Mustangs competed in the Proviso West Valentine Relays on Saturday. The girls will compete next Friday at Hinsdale Central. 

Boys’ Wrestling (Alex Bedore)

The boys finished up their postseason last week. IHSA Sectional qualifier, Sean Burke, finished just inside the top six at the Hinsdale Central Sectional on Friday. He was one match away from becoming a state qualifier.

Boys’ Swim and Dive (Elena Buscher) 

The boys did not compete this week. They are continuing their preparations for the IHSA Sectionals this Saturday.
