Boys’ Basketball By Connor Smith
Boys’ basketball held its tryouts this past Monday for all levels, in hopes of assembling another competitive group of teams. “We always look for [committed] players who you can rely on and build strong trust off of one another,” varsity coach Matt Walpole said.

Girls’ Basketball By Kellie Foy
This past week, girls’ basketball held tryouts, and kicked off the start of the season for the girls’ basketball teams. Their first games are at home against Plainfield East next week.

Boys’ Wresting By Peter Hinds
Wrestling went to Iowa for preseason nationals last week. They have the first meet of the season this upcoming week.

Cheer By Kainin Blissett
The competitive cheer season hasn’t started yet, but the team continues to practice for their first competition on Dec. 4.

Cross Country by Brianna Powell                                                                              The varsity cross country teams competed at the IHSA State Final held this weekend at Detweiller Park in Peoria. The girls’ team, led by senior Leana Goldman’s 34th place finish, placed 8th overall in team competition. This marked the program’s first top 10 finish in the IHSA State Final. The boys’ team sent junior Ralph Papa to the state tournament, where he ran a 15:19.
